The Facebook “Like Button” has become pervasive all over the web. It is, if I am not miskaking, the icon of social networking in general. A clothing shop in Brazil by the name C&A, thought that it is about time it got into the shops, they made sure that all their hangers had a Facebook “Like Button”.
The reason for this decision by the store is to serve as a suggesting tool to buyers. The idea behind is that a buyer who is struggling to make a decision will know that the dress he/she is buying has a lot likes and so will feel he/she is making the right decision by buying that cloth.
Sounds interesting huh. Social media is now going in a different direction thanks to innovative ideas like this.
The number of likes is pulled from their Facebook Fanpage onto the hanger in real-time. The advantage with this kind of innovation is that, the buyer is not just going to make a decision based on only a picture like we see with many online shipping platforms, but will be able to feel the cloth and try it on.
The Facebook Like Button will deinitely serve the purpose of attracting a potential buyer to the cloth, but of course the decision will depend on whether it fits the person or not.
